Practical Katana (実刀)
Hand forged from
the Paul Chen Hanwei Forge. The PK is the no-frills katana for those on a
budget. It makes a good project blade for those who want to learn how to
sharpen katana or make/wrap handles. We only recommend use of the PK our
dojo if the tsuka has been replaced with a removable version. This allows
periodic inspection of the nakago (tang) under the habaki (blade collar) to
detect metal fatigue and corrosion.
